Born on March 19, 1924, F.C.
Kohli was the co-founder (along with JRD Tata) and the first CEO of TCS. Initially, he had joined the Tata Group by entering Tata Electric Companies in 1951. He became its director in 1970. He was also associated with other companies within the Tata Group, including Tata Consulting Engineers and Tata Elxsi, and had been President of Indian Information Technology (IT) Services Advocacy Body NASSCOM in 1995–96.
He was also a recipient of India's third-highest civilian honour, the Padma Bhushan, in 2002 for his contributions to the Indian software
