The National Company for Hydrocarbons Research, Production, Processing, Transport and Trade, Sonatrach, is the government-owned company created to exploit Algeria’s hydrocarbon resources.

It is engaged in all aspects of the oil and gas industry, from exploration and extraction to refining, transport and trading.
