Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez) was a Colombian short story writer, novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. Throughout Latin America, he is known affectionately as Gabito or Gabo.
He is regarded as one of the most significant writers of the twentieth century.
In 1972, he was awarded the Neustadt International Prize for Literature.
